· 139 deaths reported with lab confirmed H1N1.
· Overall mortality with influenza or pneumonia is slightly above the expected
value for the time of year.

“We are targeting school vaccination clinics based on the priority groups established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the population in an area, and the amount of vaccine we have on hand,” said Volusia County Health Department Director Dr. Bonnie Sorensen. “We ask the public to continue to work with us by being patient and only bringing those who are targeted for the vaccine to this clinic.”
